Born and raised in Southern California, Joey came to faith in 2010 after encountering Jesus at a faith-based event. After helping plant a church in Southern California and serving for several years within a young adults movement, he was hired by Lifestyle Christianity in 2017. Joey served as both the Teaching Pastor and Event Director for Lifestyle Christianity. Today, he serves as the founder of Modern Monastery (an online community that gathers to study Biblical theology and spiritual formation). Joey is passionate about equipping people to better understand God and God’s word through community and practice.
